本作品は、保全された自然緑地にある泉を有する大地の上に、この土地の守護精霊である地霊（ゲニウス・ロキ）を表象する拡張現実の彫刻作品です。作品は、開かれた螺旋状の輪を用いて地霊を表現しています。

神奈川県川崎市麻生区にある黒川緑地に湧き出でる泉を持つ大地があります。この大地は様々な解釈によって純粋な形而上学の存在や魂の象徴として捉えられます。

ひとつの解釈としては、ハイデガーは「世界は大地の上にそれ自体を基づけ、大地は世界中至るところに突出する」と述べています。「大地」は、人間の存在や活動の基盤であり、自然や物質的な基礎を象徴しています。大地は自己を露わにせず、隠れたままであり、その全貌を完全には明かさず、常に部分的にしか顕現しないものとして存在します。「世界」が文化や意味の領域を象徴するのに対し、「大地」は自然や物質的な基盤を象徴し、両者の闘争が存在の真理を明らかにします。

拡張現実の彫刻作品は、永遠に湧き続ける泉を有する「大地」の上に設置され、螺旋状のコンクリート構造の彫刻（開かれた螺旋状の輪とその中心部分の柱）が回転し続けることで、この大地の持つ昇華し続ける地霊（ゲニウス・ロキ）の生命力を表象しています。この解釈では、「大地」への回帰、すなわち現実世界の「大地」の上の拡張現実世界で回転し踊り続ける彫刻作品を通じて、地霊（ゲニウス・ロキ）は自己の本質を取り戻し、真の幸福や解放を得ることができるでしょう。

また、現代の生態学的哲学では、「大地」は地球環境や自然そのものを指し、環境保護や持続可能性の議論において重要な概念です。ガイア理論は、多くのフィードバックメカニズムを通じて地球を一つの自己調整システムとして捉えることで、生物と環境の相互作用を強調する理論と考えます。これらのメカニズムは、正のフィードバックと負のフィードバックを含み、システムのバランスを保ちます。

拡張現実の彫刻作品『我は「大地」に踊る』は、現実世界において自立する事が不可能な螺旋状のコンクリート構造の彫刻が仮想現実世界において直立する柱の持つ求心力によってその自律性が担保され回転し続ける事で存在します。

したがって、私たちが普段何気なく接している黒川緑地の「大地」は、これらの解釈に基づいて形而上学的な存在や魂の探求を象徴しています。それぞれの解釈において「大地」は深い哲学的な思考や内証を促し、私たちに対して永遠の真理や魂の探求への意識を喚起する役割を果たしていると言えます。

そして拡張現実の彫刻作品『我は「大地」に踊る』は、拡張現実ならではの形而上学的な存在としてその存在意義を問いながら、永遠にその「大地」の上で回転し踊り続けます。

尚、作品タイトルの『我は「大地」に踊る』は1994年に佐賀町エキジビット・スペースで行われた島　剛氏の個展”島剛：我は”泉“に立つ=Tsuyoshi Shima :standing by the fountain”展からインスパイアされています。

This Art work is an augmented reality sculpture that represents the guardian spirit of the land, the Genius Loci, projected onto the ground with a spring in a preserved natural green space. The piece uses an open spiral ring to symbolize the spirit.

In Kurokawa Green Space, located in Aso Ward, Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture, there is land with a spring welling up. This land can be interpreted in various ways as a pure metaphysical existence or a symbol of the soul.

One interpretation, according to Heidegger, states that "The world is founded on the earth, and the earth(=ground) juts through the world”.The "ground" symbolizes the foundation of human existence and activity, representing the natural and material basis. The earth remains hidden, never fully revealing itself, existing always partially concealed. While the "world" symbolizes the realm of culture and meaning, the "ground" symbolizes the natural and material foundation, with their struggle revealing the truth of existence.

The augmented reality sculpture is installed on the "ground" with the eternally flowing spring, with a spiral concrete structure (an open spiral ring with a central pillar) that continues to rotate and dance, symbolizing the transcendent life force of the Genius Loci. In this interpretation, returning to the "ground," that is, through the augmented reality sculpture that continuously rotates and dances on the "ground" of the real world, the Genius Loci can reclaim its essence, achieving true happiness and liberation.

In modern ecological philosophy, the "ground" refers to the global environment and nature itself, and is an important concept in discussions on environmental protection and sustainability. The Gaia theory views the earth as a self-regulating system through many feedback mechanisms, emphasizing the interaction between living organisms and the environment. These mechanisms, involving both positive and negative feedback, maintain the system's balance.

The augmented reality sculpture "I dance on the ground" exists as the centripetal force of the upright pillar in the virtual world supports the self-sustaining spiral concrete structure, which is impossible to stand in the real world, thus maintaining its existence through continuous rotation.

Therefore, the "ground" of Kurokawa Green Space, which we interact with casually, symbolizes metaphysical existence and the quest for the soul based on these interpretations. In each interpretation, the "ground" prompts deep philosophical thinking and introspection, serving to awaken our consciousness to the eternal truth and the pursuit of the soul. The augmented reality sculpture "I dance on the ground," as a metaphysical existence unique to augmented reality, continuously questions its significance while perpetually rotating and dancing on the "ground."

The title of the work, "I Dance on the ground," was inspired by Tsuyoshi Shima's solo exhibition "Tsuyoshi Shima: Standing by the Fountain," held at Sagacho Exhibit Space in 1994.
